About the role

 

This exciting position is aligned to the newly developed “Pathway to Good Health (PTGH)” Clinic which aims to provide multidisciplinary assessment, planning support and referrals for children and young people with complex needs entering or re-entering statutory care in Victoria.  

The multidisciplinary team includes a paediatrician, and allied health practitioners such as a speech pathologist, occupational therapist and psychologist.  

This team undertakes a comprehensive multidisciplinary assessment of the child or young person’s development, function and emotional wellbeing, in order to produce a health management plan that documents the multidisciplinary assessment findings and any recommendations for further interventions for the child or young person.

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.

Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
