About the role
We have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Senior Mental Health Clinician (Grade 5 Mental Health Nurse) with a keen interest to join the Consultation & Liaison Psychiatry team and further develop your mental health skills and experience.
This position is based mainly at Maroondah and Box Hill Hospitals however there may be times where you will be required to support the CL teams at other Eastern Health sites. Position is day shift only, Mon- Fri with rostered weekend and public holidays shared equally amongst the team (most likely one weekend every 4- 5 weeks).
About you
To be successful in this role you should possess:
- At least 5 years’ experience in a range of clinical mental health settings
- Post-graduate qualifications relevant to mental health
- A current Registration in Division 1 issued by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
- Have experience as a Grade 4 or 5 RN
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, utilising well developed critical analysis skills to achieve efficiency and effectiveness
- Extensive experience in the area of clinical expertise in mental health with demonstrated ability to work with a diverse and complex professional workforce
- Interest and experience working in a multi and inter-disciplinary team environment
- Knowledge and expertise in the field of Consultation Liaison Psychiatry
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
