An exciting opportunity now exists for an experienced Carer Peer Worker join role within Eastern Health’s Adult & Older Adult Mental Health Service.
The Carer Peer Worker shall work collaboratively with other staff and management of the Eastern Health Adult and Older Adult Mental Health focussed service, to ensure the best possible support and participation opportunities for carers and families. This role requires independent and autonomous work practices and senior lived experience skills.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:

Lived experience as carer of a family member/friend who has accessed public mental health services

Demonstrated ability to work systemically with internal and external services and staff to benefit carers and families.

A strong commitment to high quality care

The ability to work as part of a diverse team

Excellent communication and organisational skills
Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role. An offer of employment is conditional on you providing evidence that you are currently vaccinated against COVID-19 with booster & Influenza, prior to commencing employment.
