About the role

 

 

Are you an engaging individual, looking for a challenging administrative role with some autonomy that is close to home? 

An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated person with high attention to detail to work with our Freedom of Information (FOI)/ Information Release Service. The FOI Officer role involves reviewing, assessing and making decisions relating to the release of medical records in accordance with the FOI Act. 

The successful candidate will require proficient planning and organisational skills, a commitment to continued service improvement and have the ability to work with all levels of staff from Eastern Health and outside agencies.  Demonstration of good interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills is essential. 

 

 

About you 

 

 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

 

 

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Good time Management Skills.
  • Ability to effectively plan and organise own work.

 

 

Desirable

 

 

Previous experience in processing Freedom of Information requests or experience in high level administrative duties is desirable.

 

 

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
