About the role
The Enhanced Eating Disorder Team (EEDT) is a specialist team within ICYMHS which provides timely and specialist eating disorder intervention for young people presenting with an eating disorder, along with their families. The team provides mental health assessment and clinical case management along with evidence-based eating disorder treatments including Family Based Therapy for Anorexia, CBT-E and SSCM. You would join a skilled and experienced team who work from a basis grounded in family, systemic and reflective therapies. There is a strong culture of ongoing professional development, quality supervision, and robust structures to support clinicians to develop their skills. We are looking for a Senior Clinician or a Grade 2 Clinician with substantial ICYMHS, case management and/or eating disorder experience to join the team. The successful candidate would hold a designated case load while also playing an important role in supporting staff within the team and the ICYMHS service more broadly in the form of primary and secondary consultation.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Skills and Knowledge from experience working in Public ICYMHS service and/or in working with people experiencing eating disorders.
- Allied health with three to five years post graduate experience in mental health.
- Current OT, Clinical Psychology or Nursing registration with AHPRA. Social work eligibility for membership with AASW
- Post Graduate qualifications in family therapy, child psychotherapy is desirable
- Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience, or willingness to actively develop these skills
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- A desire to engage in reflective practice within a team environment
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
