About the Role

 

 

The Maroondah Prevention and Recovery Care (MPARC) service offers short-term, recovery-oriented residential treatment in partnership with Wellways. MPARC provides a unique environment for people to begin or continue their recovery journey and reconnect with their community through coordinated clinical and psychosocial support. 

 

 

Our multidisciplinary team provides high-quality mental health assessments, recovery planning, and practical support to help consumers build skills, manage their wellbeing, and maintain stability post-discharge. We are seeking a Registered Psychiatric Nurse/Occupational Therapist or Social Worker to join our team and provide clinical leadership and recovery-focused care to consumers and their families. About you

 

 

To be successful in this role, as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse you will have:

 

 

  • Current registration with AHPRA minimum 24 months post graduate nursing experience in a mental health setting.
  • Completion of or enrolment in a relevant post graduate mental health qualification.
  • As an Allied Health Clinician, you will have (as appropriate):
  • Registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency.
  • Holds a degree qualification in Social Work that has been approved by the Australian Association of Social Workers for membership as a social worker. Maintains compliance with the AASW Continuing Professional Development Policy in order to meet the Eastern Health Allied Health credentialing standard.
  • A minimum 12-months experience as a registered clinician (as relevant) in a mental health setting
  • A strong commitment to high-quality, person-centred care   

 

 

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
