About the role

An opportunity exists within the Adult Community Mental Health Services in the Yarra Ranges Continuing Care Team for passionate, enthusiastic & experienced mental health clinicians with sound clinical knowledge and mental health experience. 

 The roles will partner with consumers, carers, families and other service providers to provide high-quality case management and discipline-specific mental health assessment, treatment, consultation and community linkage services within a recovery-oriented framework. This position will be at our clinic in Ringwood, providing centre-based and outreach services.

About you 

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following: 

  •  Qualifications and experience as specified in the position description, either as a Registered Nurse, Clinical Psychologist, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist with appropriate registration. 
  • Experience in mental health practice and discipline-specific practices. 
  • Demonstrated work experience in mental health. 
  • Demonstrated ability to provide mental health assessments and interventions for consumers and their carers individually and in groups utilising a case management model. 
  • Demonstrated commitment to and ability to practice utilising the recovery approach in mental health treatment and support with a focus on working collaboratively with consumers and carers to promote self-determination and enable progress towards
  • reaching personal recovery goals.  
  • Well-developed interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills. 
  • A solid commitment to high-quality care. 
  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team. 
  • Flexible and agile in responding to operational and clinical challenges and complexity, focusing on supporting consumers and their families/carers to address their goals in their recovery journey.

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
