About the role 

The Pharmacy team at Maroondah Hospital ensures the safe and efficient delivery of medications across Maroondah, Healesville, and Yarra Ranges sites. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will work within a multidisciplinary team to support high-quality pharmaceutical care and medicines management.

We provide a high level of services across multiple areas including:

• Inpatient services
• Outpatient services 
• Purchasing and inventory management
• Aseptic Compounding
• Distribution 
• Omnicell

About you  

 You’re a detail focused, team-oriented professional who is passionate about delivering safe and effective patient care.

We’re looking for candidates who have:

• Experience in hospital or community pharmacy (desirable but not essential)
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities
• A proactive approach and commitment to high-quality care
• Certificate III or IV in Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy Support (desirable but not essential)

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.

Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
