About the role
Work within a supportive physiotherapy and multidisciplinary team, based at Maroondah Hospital. Use your physiotherapy skills with the older person and those with complex subacute care needs as well as supporting caseload in general medical wards as needed. Grade 3 and 4 senior clinicians are on site to support and help you grow your skills. There is also opportunity for supervision of grade 1, students and AHAs and support to undertake quality improvement activities.
About you
As part of the Aged and Complex Care Physiotherapy Team, you will provide tailored, person-centred interventions to support the multidisciplinary care team in delivering high quality care to patient with complex care needs. This role provides opportunity to enhance your skills in a number of areas such as communication, dynamic risk assessment, dignity of risk and person-centred goal setting.
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Recognised tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy
- Current registration with Physiotherapy Board of Australia (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated skills in the physiotherapy management of geriatric evaluation and management caseloads
- Ability to meet all the requirements as outlined in the position description roles and responsibilities
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Desirable:
- Participation in effective supervision of Grade 1 physiotherapists
