About the role

When attending a discovery day, you will be introduced to our team of qualified intensive care nurses, doctors and multidisciplinary team members.  You will experience a stimulating learning environment, and a great education and clinical nursing team. It is hoped the experience will assist you with a view to exploring possible application for a Transition to Specialty Practice Program (TSP) with us in the future.   

 

You can elect use your available paid Professional Development leave entitlements to attend this day with the approval of your manager. Please inform us and we will issue an attendance certificate. We will also ask you on the day to fill in an evaluation feedback form to help us continue to improve.

About you 


To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Current Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA 
  • Current or recent experience in acute Medical or Surgical nursing
  • A strong commitment to seeking opportunities for personal development and advancement 
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work as part of a diverse team in delivering high quality care 

 

Following your application we will issue you a mandatory EH ICU Visitor Agreement document which includes personal information and details eg Vaccination compliance status. We can also provide you further information about us and our student learning opportunities and discuss your first steps towards your potential future career in ICU.   

 

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
