Senior Clinician - Duty Worker

About the role
- Supports individuals accessing services and their families understanding of care delivery and care planning through effective and timely communication with these individuals and their significant others, team members and the public.
- Participates in the delivery of recover focused services through the lens of the Collaborative Recovery Model.
- Works collaboratively with the broader multidiscipinary team to ensure the efficient, effective and responsive operation of the allcoated work Unit, in line with the Organisation's strategiec direction.
- Develops knowledge of local resources and services to make appropriate referral; provide advocacy and initiate service development activities that will proactively enhance consumer access to community services.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Qualifications and experience as specified in the position description, either as a Registered Nurse, Clinical Psychologist, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist with appropriate registration.
- Experience in community mental health practice, including case management and discipline-specific practices.
- Demonstrated work experience in mental health.
- Demonstrated ability to provide mental health assessments and interventions for consumers and their carers individually and/or in groups utilising a case management model.
- Demonstrated commitment to and ability to practice utilising the recovery approach in mental health treatment and support with a focus on working collaboratively with consumers and carers to promote self-determination and enable progress towards reaching personal recovery goals.
- Well-developed interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills.
- A strong commitment to high-quality care.
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team.
- Flexible and agile in responding to operational and clinical challenges and complexity, focusing on supporting consumers and their families/carers to address their goals in their recovery journey.
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
