About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Mental Health Clinician to join the ICYMHS Community Engagement team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that delivers regular contracted secondary consultation and community education and training to staff working in the education, health and welfare sectors in the Eastern Metropolitan region. You will also be developing and maintaining effective working relationships with key agencies that work with children, young people and families.
The position will be based at our Ringwood site and will include travel across the Eastern Metropolitan region.
The successful applicant will have experience in public tertiary mental health settings including working with children, young people and families.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Current OT, Clinical Psychology or Nursing registration with AHPRA. Social work eligibility for membership with AASW
- Allied Health with 5 years post graduate experience in child and youth mental health
- Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience, or willingness to actively develop these skills
- Experience in providing mental health secondary consultation
- Skills in planning, implementing and evaluating mental health education and training
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Ability to develop partnerships and work collaboratively with external agencies
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A current Drivers Licence and willingness to travel within the Eastern Metropolitan region of Melbourne
- A current Working with Children’s Check
