About the role
The Angliss Hospital Emergency Department cares for over 40,000 patients annually, with an average of 109 presentations per day. In addition to the 20 bed emergency care cubicles, we provide a 6-cubicle fast track multidisciplinary area, 16 bed Short Stay Unit for initial care of selected conditions for both adults and paediatrics up to 24 hours.
As part of the nursing leadership team of the Angliss Hospital Emergency team, you will be part of a highly dedicated multi-disciplinary team incorporating medical, nursing, clerical and allied health professionals. About you
Are you a dedicated, empathetic and adaptable existing ANUM or CCRN looking for your next leadership opportunity? Are you interested in professional growth, working collaboratively with the Nurse Manager and wider leadership team to assist in safe and timely patient centred emergency care of varied patient presentations cared for in the Emergency Department, Short Stay unit and Paediatric Short Stay unit?
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA
- Completion of Post Graduate Certificate in Critical Care (or equivalent)
- Experience working in Emergency Nursing
- Developed interpersonal and leadership experience
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
