Clinical Midwifery Educator

About the Role

Located at the gateway to the picturesque Yarra Valley, Angliss Hospital offers the chance to work in a beautiful, community-focused environment. Our maternity service is closely connected to local families, supporting continuity of care and meaningful relationships. With16 postnatal beds, 6 birthing rooms, and an 8-cot special care nursery, our service sees 2,000+ births annually. We also support water birth and Midwifery Group Practice. 

As a Clinical Midwife Educator, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting, developing, and inspiring midwives within a close-knit, collaborative team where education is valued and your impact is clear. Along the way, you'll be supported by colleagues who focus on embedding evidence-based practice and contributing to high-quality, woman-centred care.

 

 

About You  

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Excellent clinical skills and recent experience in an acute maternity setting

  • Current registration with AHPRA as Registered Midwife

  • Recent experience in education, including simulation-based education

  • A strong commitment to high quality, evidence-based care

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the capacity to work independently while contributing positively to a diverse, cross-site team

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills and able to prioritise competing demands

  • Proficient computer literacy, including M365

  • Commitment to continuous improvement and lifelong learning

 

Desirable:

  • Post Graduate qualifications in midwifery, education or leadership (or working towards)

  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment

  • NeoResus Facilitator

  • PROMPT facilitation experience

 

 

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
