Eastern Health Special Care Nurseries (SCN) are located at Box Hill and Angliss Hospitals. Box Hill Hospital SCN is a 12-bed Level 4 Nursery, and the Angliss Hospital SCN is an 8-bed Level 3 Nursery. Our nurseries care for up to 500 premature and unwell babies every year.
About the role
A rare opportunity has arisen for a driven and enthusiastic Neonatal Clinical Nurse Educator, with excellent clinical knowledge and recent experience in nurse education. This exciting role is part of the Learning & Teaching Practice Capability team, within the Women & Children program, providing education to our Special Care Nurseries and other areas providing care to neonates across Eastern Health.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Current Nursing registration with AHPRA
- Post Graduate qualifications in neonatal nursing or similar
- Recent experience in nurse education
- Qualified to facilitate neonatal resuscitation training (desirable)
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (desirable)
- Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role. An offer of employment is conditional on you providing evidence that you are currently vaccinated against COVID-19 with booster & Influenza, prior to commencing employment.
