About the Role

 

 

The Eastern Health Learning & Teaching Directorate seek a senior nurse for the position of Clinical Nurse Educator - Intensive Care to join our dynamic team. 

 

 

This role is pivotal in providing leadership relating to clinical change and development, as well as the education and support of learners and staff within the Eastern Health Intensive Care Service.

About You 

 

 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

 

 

  • Current Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) registration (essential)
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification in intensive care or critical care nursing (essential)
  • A minimum of three years of recent acute intensive care nursing experience at a senior level (minimum CNS or above) (essential)
  • Clinical Support Nurse experience in intensive care (highly preferred)
  • Experience and expertise in mentoring and supervising novice clinicians
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with advanced skills in critical thinking, problem solving, organisation and prioritisation 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to work both autonomously and as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team 
  • Proficient computer literacy

 

 

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
