About the role
We are seeking a senior nurse to join the Eastern Health Learning & Teaching Directorate as a Clinical Nurse Educator – Emergency. This role is pivotal in providing leadership relating to clinical change and development, as well as the education and support of learners and staff within the Emergency Department services.

About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Current Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) registration.
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications in Emergency Care or Critical Care nursing.
- A minimum of five years of recent acute emergency nursing experience at a senior level (minimum CNS or above).
- Clinical Nurse Educator or Clinical Support Nurse experience in an Emergency Department (highly preferred).
- Ability to lead, influence, and support a team, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and psychologically safe learning culture.
- Experience in providing constructive feedback to support professional growth, as well as the ability to receive and reflect on feedback to enhance personal practice and team effectiveness.
- Capacity to lead and support change, including participation in quality improvement, education, or practice-change initiatives.
- Proven experience in mentoring, teaching, and supporting novice clinicians.
- Ability to work autonomously, with advanced skills in critical thinking, problem solving, organisation, and prioritisation.
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role, and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
