This statement aligns with our promise to our communities, patients, consumers and staff that we will be HEALTHIER TOGETHER. Bolder than a vision for the future, our promise calls us to action. We know that working together is the only way we can achieve what is necessary for a healthier future.
About the role
Opportunities are available across our Box Hill, Maroondah and Angliss Intensive Care Units, offering the opportunity to work within a large and connected critical care network while enjoying the unique culture and strengths of each site.
Each ICU provides high-quality care to patients with severe and complex illnesses. Our diverse case mix offers staff exposure to a broad range of contemporary critical care presentations, including:
- Complex medical and surgical patients across a wide range of specialties, including respiratory, thoracic, cardiology, neurology, renal, oncology, haematology, endocrine, orthopaedic and plastic surgery.
- Accredited Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) services and a high-volume Extracorporeal Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (ECPR) program at Box Hill Hospital.
- Opportunities to contribute to quality improvement, research, education and service development initiatives across the Eastern Health critical care network.
Our units are supported by experienced education and leadership teams who are committed to staff development. Dedicated clinical educators provide support throughout the week, with additional weekend coverage to ensure ongoing access to learning opportunities, clinical guidance and professional development. Whether you are building your critical care expertise, undertaking postgraduate study or pursuing leadership opportunities, Eastern Health offers a supportive environment in which to grow your career.
