About the role

 

Our Emergency Department is seeking Critical Care trained Registered Nurses.  

 

The Angliss Hospital Emergency Department cares for over 40,000 patients annually, with an average of 109 presentations per day. In addition to the 26 bed emergency care cubicles, we provide a 16 bed Short Stay Unit for initial care of selected conditions for both adults and paediatrics up to 24 hours.   

 

As a member of the Angliss Hospital Emergency team, you will be part of a highly dedicated multi-disciplinary team incorporating medical, nursing, clerical and allied health professionals.  We pride ourselves on providing our patients with timely access to high-quality care. About the role 

 

We are looking for enthusiastic Critical Care Registered Nurse to work within our Emergency Department, Short Stay Adult and Paediatric areas.  You will work across all areas of department including triage, resus, monitored cubicle spaces, including short stay providing direct patient care.

About you

 

Are you a dedicated, empathetic and adaptable CCRN looking for your next challenge? Are you interested in, and understand the complex and varied patient presentations cared for in the Emergency Department, Short Stay unit and Paediatric Short Stay unit 

  • To be successful in this role you will possess:  
    • Current Registration with AHPRA (condition free)
    • Post Graduate qualifications in Critical care/Emergency care   
    • Ability to work rotating roster including AM, PM and night duty shifts 
    • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills  
    • A strong commitment to providing excellent, quality clinical care  
    • Ability to work as part of a diverse team, providing focused care 
    • Excellent communication and organisational skills  
    • Excellent communication and decision-making capability  
    • Active engagement in continued professional and career development

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.

Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
