About the role

 

We are looking for an Extended Postnatal Care Coordinator /Associate Midwifery Manager to lead our clinical teams and support our Midwifery Manager in Postnatal/LSU/EPC. Our Women’s and Children’s Health service provide exceptional family centred care in a well-supported environment. Our busy maternity unit at Angliss Hospital sees in excess of 2000 births per year; we have 16 postnatal beds, 6 birthing rooms and 8 cot special care nursery cots. Angliss Hospital is known for continuous improvement and innovation. Our maternity service supports water birth and Midwifery Group Practice. The AMM, together with the Midwifery Manager form the management team responsible for the delivery of high quality, patient centred care, and participate in the efficient operational running of the ward. 

 

About you 

 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

 

  • Current Midwifery registration with AHPRA 
  • Previous experience in supervisory or CMS role
  • Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
  • A strong commitment to high quality care
  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Awareness and understanding of National Health Standards and Accreditation standards

 

 

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role, and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
