About the role

 

 

We are seeking casual Instrument technicians for the CSSD at the Angliss Hospital. It is an exciting time to join our team as we prepare to move into our new state of the art CSSD with some of the best views of any department to the Dandenong Ranges. Our current specialties are obstetrics and gynaecology, general surgery, ENT and endoscopy. This is a great opportunity to be part of a supportive and collaborative team within a fast-paced perioperative environment committed to quality and continuous improvement.

 

 

About you 

 

 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

 

 

  • Certificate III in Sterilisation Services (minimum)
  • Certificate IV in Sterilisation Services (desirable)
  • Has greater than 12 months experience as an instrument technician in CSSD
  • A strong commitment to high quality care
  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

 

 

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.

Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
