About the role
An excellent opportunity exists for a Grade 2 Speech Pathologist within the Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service (VPRS) based at Eastern Health. VPRS caters for babies, children and adolescents who require specialist interdisciplinary rehabilitation. The young people treated are recovering from acquired injuries, medical/surgical intervention or have a functional impairment. VPRS also provides early support and intervention for infants diagnosed as at high risk of Cerebral Palsy. Rehabilitation is provided in the Community Rehabilitation Centre or in the child’s community.

The applicant must be available to work on Thursdays and either Tuesday or Wednesday
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Bachelor of Speech Pathology or equivalent tertiary qualification
- Eligibility for practising membership of Speech Pathology Australia
- Experience in the provision of speech pathology services to children with communication and swallowing disorders
- Experience in the assessment and management of infants with feeding disorders
- Experience in the rehabilitation of children or adolescents with acquired brain injury
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
