About the role
Are you an experienced Midwife, passionate about providing best practice midwifery care to women and their families? Eastern Health, Angliss Hospital is currently looking at recruiting Registered Midwives to rotate between Birthing Suite and the inpatient Postnatal/Antenatal ward, or to work across the continuum of care in our Midwifery Pool. This is a great opportunity to join the rotating team in a thriving and community minded hospital.
Our Women’s and Children’s Health service provide exceptional family centred care in a well-supported environment. Our busy maternity unit at Angliss Hospital sees in excess of 2000 births per year; we have 16 postnatal beds, 6 birthing rooms and 8 cot special care nursery cots. Angliss Hospital is known for continuous improvement and innovation. Our maternity service supports water birth and Midwifery Group Practice.
We welcome registered midwives who demonstrate a supportive and engaging nature and are passionate about family centred care and achieving high quality clinical outcome.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Current Midwifery registration with AHPRA
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- Willing to embrace Eastern Health values and contribute to a positive team culture
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
Preferred attributes:
- 2 years post graduate program experience
- Skilled in trans cervical insertion of balloon catheter, or willing to learn
- Skilled in water birth, or willing to learn
- Willingness to work across all areas of maternity if/when required
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
