About the roles

General Medicine Wards – Eastern Health

We are seeking enthusiastic nurses who would like to work in General Medical wards at Eastern Health.  We have several wards across the network, at Angliss, Maroondah and Box Hill Hospitals and currently recruiting to a number of areas. Our teams within General Medicine look after a variety of General medical patients with a multitude of conditions and complexities. We have several models of care, catering for Acute Care of the Elderly patients, patients with eating disorders and rapid access general medical patients.  We are a supportive team with a large multidisciplinary approach to care and a strong commitment to customer service. Applicants should be flexible, dependable, organised and caring with the ability to work well in a team environment.

 

About you 

As a Registered Nurse, your skills and experience will include: 

  • Current, condition-free registration with AHPRA 
  • 3+ years’ experience working in a similar acute setting
  • Availability to work a rotating roster
  • Strong commitment to providing excellent clinical care 
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, providing patient focused care 
  • Active engagement in continued professional and career development

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice).
