About the role

The Angliss House team is seeking a skilled and compassionate professional to join our team in our weekly Colposcopy Clinic. Our Colposcopy clinic specialises in the assessment and management of cervical health, focusing on diagnosing and treating abnormalities detected through routine cervical screening tests, such as Pap smears. We provide comprehensive care, including biopsies, patient education, and personalised follow-up treatment plans, ensuring the best health outcomes for women and individuals with cervixes. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with colposcopy examinations and procedures. 
  • Provide compassionate patient-centred care and education. 
  • Support patients during procedures to ensure comfort and understanding. 
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and clinical guidelines while monitoring equipment processing. 
  • Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team. 
  • Ensure accurate and detailed documentation of patient records.

About you 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

 

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse or as a Registered Midwife with additional qualification in sexual and reproductive health of women and individuals with cervixes.  
  • A proven ability to provide safe, reflective, and patient-centred care. 
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and record-keeping skills.  
  • A commitment to collaborative practice with medical, nursing, midwifery, and maternity care professionals. 
  • Alignment with and dedication to Eastern Health Values, ensuring the highest standard of care and patient experience 

Desired Skills 

  • Experience in working within sexual and reproductive health clinics  

 

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
