About the role

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and innovative Physiotherapist to develop and lead the Physiotherapy and interdisciplinary team in the Community Rehabilitation Program, Falls and Balance clinic and Focal Spasticity Management Clinic - Eastern Health.  
The successful candidate with professional and operational mentorship will support the growth of junior staff and continuously improve the quality of care delivered in these services. 
The Community Rehabilitation Program at Eastern Health is striving to delivery great care everywhere, every time for our community. We are seeking a client-focussed rehabilitation physiotherapist, who has a commitment to quality patient care and service improvement. You will provide clinical leadership and supervision for the physiotherapy team at the Angliss Community Rehabilitation Program, as well as support and lead quality improvement initiatives.  To support your growth and success in this role, you will work closely with the CRP Team Leaders and profession Senior Clinicians.  You will have access to clinical supervision from the Grade 4 Physiotherapy Clinical Lead and will be supported to participate in professional development, quality improvement & research.  
 

 

About you 

To be successful in this role you will have: 

  • Extensive experience in the area of neurological rehabilitation (desirable) 
  • Strong commitment to high quality patient care 
  • Well-developed interpersonal and leadership skills 
  • Advanced clinical skills in managing a complex caseload using a client-centred approach 
  • Sound clinical reasoning skills within the field of rehabilitation including supervision and development of staff 
  • High level communication and coaching skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to introduce innovative practice and quality improvement 

 

You will be required to: 

  • Support the CRP Team Leaders in managing the day to day operational needs of the CRP teams based on Eastern Health’s mission and values 
  • Lead the delivery of a high quality, accessible and coordinated service to our clients both in the client’s home and in the centre 
  • Provide clinical supervision to physiotherapy staff across Yarra Ranges Health and Angliss CRP and facilitate evidence based practice. 
  • Support the CRP Team Leader to meet key performance indicators and targets set by Leadership Teams, Eastern Health and funding bodies 
  • Collaborate and develop good working relationships with stakeholders at all levels to ensure effective staff communication processes are in place 
  • A Victorian Drivers licence 


Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role.  An offer of employment is conditional on you providing evidence that you are currently vaccinated against COVID-19 with booster & Influenza, prior to commencing employment.
