About the role
At Angliss Hospital, our Antenatal Clinics are dedicated to delivering exceptional care to every family within the Eastern Health community. Our passionate team strives to ensure that each patient receives the highest standard of support throughout their antenatal journey.
Our ward clerks play a pivotal role in maintaining the clinic's efficiency and providing outstanding customer service. Their responsibilities include:
- Reception Duties: Welcoming women & pregnant people and their support people, managing incoming calls, and addressing inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
- Appointment Coordination: Scheduling and confirming appointments, ensuring seamless communication between patients and healthcare providers.
- Administrative Support: Handling patient records, preparing necessary documentation, and maintaining accurate data entry to support clinical operations.
- Team Collaboration: Liaising with medical staff, including midwives and obstetricians, to facilitate effective communication and coordination of care.
- Front-of-House Services: Serving as the first point of contact, our ward clerks ensure a welcoming environment, reflecting our commitment to patient-centred care.
Their dedication and attention to detail are integral to the smooth operation of our Antenatal Clinics, ensuring that every family receives comprehensive and compassionate care.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Proven Administrative Experience: Demonstrated experience in administrative roles, with prior exposure to healthcare settings being highly advantageous.
- Commitment to Exceptional Customer Service: A strong dedication to delivering high-quality, patient-centred service, ensuring positive experiences for all consumers.
- Advanced Computer Literacy: Proficiency in using various computer systems and software, facilitating efficient administrative operations.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills: The ability to build and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Dedication to High-Quality Care: A commitment to upholding the highest standards of care and continuously seeking improvements in service delivery.
- Team Collaboration: Experience working collaboratively within diverse teams, contributing to a supportive and cohesive work environment.
- Excellent Communication and Organisational Abilities: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong organisational capabilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
