About the role

 

We are a dedicated 28 bed Supportive and Palliative Care inpatient Unit, providing palliative care throughout the eastern region of Melbourne with a focus on providing quality, patient centred end of life care.

As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) on our ward, you will join a growing team that goes above and beyond to provide excellent patient care, where we pride ourselves for our strong level of support, roster flexibility, a supportive orientation and great learning opportunities.  

We are looking for a nurse leader who is passionate about palliative care, cool under pressure, a multi-tasker, and approachable. We are looking for someone who is confident in managing the unexpected, an excellent communicator, and a highly skilled clinician who can work autonomously and simultaneously be part of a team. Your passion for quality care is demonstrated with a commitment to projects, portfolios or improvement initiatives alongside and leading your peers.

 

About you 

 

  • Current registration with AHPRA  
  • Post Graduate qualification in palliative care
  • Current palliative nursing experience  
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills 
  • High level of computer literacy 
  • Highly developed interpersonal and leadership skills 
  • A strong commitment to high quality care 
  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team 
  • Ability to work a full rotating roster (all shifts) 

 

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role, and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
