About us
murrenda Residential Aged Care Home was named by Elders from the Wurundjeri people using the traditional woi wurrung language and means ‘Life or Living’. This beautifully represents the culture and care model of the home, which supports people with complex medical and psychogeriatric care needs.
Apple Tree Lane
Apple Tree Lane is a 30-single bedroom home caring for people with complex health and aged-related disease which may include symptoms of chronic organ failure such as heart, lung, renal failure and diseases such as cancer, diabetes, osteoarthritis, symptoms of Dementia's, complex wounds, suprapubic and indwelling catheters, enteral feeding, tracheostomy, living in bariatric bodies and complex social circumstances.
People living in the home are supported by a model of care including Nursing, Leisure and Lifestyle, Allied Health specialists, GP's and Geriatricians.
Blue Wren Walk and Cherry Blossom Grove
Blue Wren Walk and Cherry Blossom Grove each comprise 30 single bedrooms specialising in Aged Persons Mental Health care. The model of care is designed to support and enrich the lives of older adults living with mental health diagnoses and/or symptoms of dementia. Care is delivered through a multidisciplinary approach involving nursing staff, leisure and lifestyle teams, allied health professionals, general practitioners, geriatricians, and psychiatrists.
Both home care for people with complex health and aged-related disease which may include symptoms of chronic organ failure such as heart, lung, renal failure, diseases such as cancer, diabetes, osteoarthritis and behaviours and psychiatric symptoms of Dementia, mental health disease and complex social circumstances.
Discovery and Interview Day – 5th October 2026 9:30am to 3pm

The Discovery Day will be held at murrenda Home which will enable qualified Enrolled Nurses to learn about the home, Model of Care, Workforce Model and then participate in a tour. About the role
We are seeking Enrolled Nurses who have a passion for geriatric nursing and providing individualised, engaging care to people living in the home.
As an Enrolled Nurse you will be responsible for the provision of person focused holistic nursing care under the direction of Registered Nurses.
Duties of the role include but are not limited to:
- Supporting individuals in all activities of daily living and delivering engaging person centred care that meets best practice standards and in line with policies.
- Demonstrating respect for resident’s values, customs and spiritual beliefs to support care that is effective and culturally appropriate.
The Enrolled Nurse is a key professional supporting personal care requirement, social interaction with community and family, assessments, documentation and medication management.
About you
As an Enrolled Nurse, you will have:
- A current, condition-free registration with AHPRA
- At least one year experience working in Aged Care
- Availability to work a rotating roster and variable shifts
- Exposure caring for residents with challenging behaviours (desirable)
- A current National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) workers screening check
- Enthusiastic, energetic and passionate in identifying new strategies for positive behaviour management
- A strong commitment to high-quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
