About the role

Continuing Care is an inpatient subacute service specialising in the progression of care for patients with a disability with a specific focus on maintaining function and transitioning from hospital to the community. 

West Ward will be opening new beds in the ward and are seeking motivated Registered Nurses to join the growing team.

West Ward is located on the 3rd floor of murrenda, Building B Wantirna Health.

 

About you 

As a Registered Nurse, your skills and experience will include; 

  • Current, condition-free registration with AHPRA  
  • Previous experience working in a subacute setting
  • Ability to work a rotating roster including AM, PM and night shifts 
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Strong commitment to providing excellent clinical care 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, providing patient focused care 
  • Active engagement in continued professional and career development 

 

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role, and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
