Senior Occupational Therapist Grade 3 

 

  • Temporary part-time or full-time opportunity until September 2027

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Grade 3 Occupational Therapist to join our supportive Occupational Therapy team in a specialist role focused on NDIS transitions and discharge planning.

 

This position offers a unique opportunity to develop and utilise advanced skills in:

  • Complex discharge planning
  • NDIS navigation and systems advocacy
  • Capacity building and participant-centred practice
  • Multidisciplinary leadership and collaboration
  • Service development and quality improvement

 

You will work closely with an experienced and supportive multidisciplinary team to support people with complex needs to achieve safe, sustainable and timely transitions from hospital to community-based supports.

 

You will be supported by experienced Grade 3 Occupational Therapy colleagues onsite, as well as a Grade 4 Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist, providing opportunities for professional support, supervision and collaborative problem solving.

 

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
  • Demonstrated clinical expertise in subacute occupational therapy and a strong understanding of NDIS processes 
  • Advanced skills in clinical reasoning, stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and advocacy 
  • A strong commitment to high quality, values-based care and interdisciplinary teamwork
  • A commitment to improving outcomes for diverse and vulnerable

 

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role, and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
